One of my favorite places to stay in Las Vegas is the Bellagio, so what better place to visit than its sister resort, Beau Rivage?
One of the largest hotel/casinos outside of Nevada, the Beau Rivage Resort & Casino was designed by famed Las Vegas hotelier Steve Wynn as a little sister to the Bellagio and is very similar in feel to the Vegas property (minus the iconic fountain display).

Best Vegas-Style Casino in the Southeast
Opened in March 1999 on the Gulf Coast of Biloxi, MS, the 1,740-room resort is owned by MGM Resorts and participates in the company’s M Life rewards program.
The casino features over 1800 slot machines, combining traditional games with the latest trends. While limited, there are still Blackjack tables offering more favorable odds, like a 3:2 payout on a player’s Blackjack and the rare option to surrender.
Some tables have switched to continuous shuffle machines, but three to four tables are typically open with the best odds at a $15 or $25 minimum depending on the day and time. The dealers here are friendly and make playing fun even if you’re losing (well, maybe not “fun,” but the friendliness helps).
The casino still allows smoking, but not at the tables. Although you’ll probably encounter some smoke as you move through the casino, it’s not overwhelming and the tall ceilings and strong ventilation work well to keep the air fresh.
The newly redesigned sports book features a circular bar with video poker machines and TVs covering every wall with a large feature screen in the center.
The casino floor also offers two high roller rooms, one for slots and the other for table games. Both are quiet, allowing for some separation for those delving into more serious stakes.
The Beau Rivage Resort Amenities
The hotel rooms at the Beau Rivage have undergone recent updates and many offer Gulf views. You can upgrade your stay with a suite or special package, and the resort is also dog-friendly if you don’t want to leave your furry friend at home.
The Beau Rivage Resort Pool
While I do enjoy the flutter of excitement spent in the casino, spending the day relaxing at the pool is the perfect counterbalance. The pool is spacious, so even on more crowded days, you should still be able to find a lounge chair and space to cool off.
The pool is open daily from 9:00 a.m. until dark, and while it’s not heated during the cooler months, there is a hot tub available for use year-round. There are four cabanas available to rent, but you’ll need to call ahead to reserve one since you can’t reserve it online.
Towels are provided at the pool entrance, and food and drink services are offered with delivery to your lounge chair or cabana. Or, if you prefer to eat in the covered Pool Bar & Cafe, you can settle in at a cafe table or the bar. Click here for more info…
The pool area also offers a large sundeck facing the Gulf of Mexico.
Spa & Salon
After late nights and probably too little sleep, going to the spa for a little rejuvenation is definitely a good idea. Most recently ranked #11 in Spas of America’s Top 100 list, Beau Rivage’s spa & salon are well worth a visit to round out the relaxation portion of your stay.
Reservations are recommended, and you can schedule anything from a Himalayan Salt Stone Massage to a Hydrafacial. The salon offers haircut, color, and styling services as well as their signature manicure/pedicure selections.
Golf
Fallen Oak
Exclusive to guests of the Beau Rivage, Fallen Oak Golf Course is an elite (and beautiful) 18-hole, par 72 course designed by noted Golf Architect, Tom Fazio.
Located approximately 25 minutes away from the Beau Rivage Resort, Fallen Oak features century-old oak trees alongside pecan and magnolia groves. Caddie service is also available with 24-hour advance notice.
Top Golf Swing Suite
If you’re not quite ready for a challenging course like Fallen Oak, you’re in luck. You can hone your game at one of the three Top Golf Swing Suites located inside the Beau Rivage Resort at The Black Clover Lounge.
It’s a comfy space for a large group, and if you’re not into golf, there are a variety of games.
*Note: The Swing Suite we booked had some issues loading the golf game we selected, and we eventually had to be moved to another bay.
While the games worked, there was a little frustration in the lack of accuracy with all of the games we tried. While I still had fun, I probably wouldn’t rent one again; but, it is a great space to bring a large group.
The Black Clover Lounge has quite a few large TVs which are mostly visible from the Swing Suites, so you can also watch whatever game is on while enjoying snacks and your drink of choice.
Shopping
The Beau Rivage Resort offers 8 shops to spend your casino winnings. Most of the stores feature clothing (primarily women’s) alongside fine jewelry and watches. The store near the spa and salon features luxury cosmetics, skincare, and hair products.
While you’re probably not visiting the Beau Rivage Resort & Casino for its shopping, it is a nice diversion as you explore, and if you forgot to pack something, you should be able to find what you need without having to leave the resort (which is probably the goal).
Decadent Dining
Biloxi, MS has some incredible restaurants. But, you can enjoy some delicious dining without ever having to leave the Beau Rivage. Due to the popularity and large number of people typically staying at the Beau Rivage, reservations are highly recommended to all of their restaurants.
Stalla
Because I constantly crave Italian food, (I could seriously eat just bread and olive oil every day and be happy), my go-to restaurant at the Beau Rivage is Stalla.
Stalla offers classic Italian staples alongside brick oven pizzas. Come hungry, because the portions are quite substantial. Is it the best Italian restaurant ever? No. Will you leave satisfied and happy? I would say most likely, yes.
Although not listed online, Stalla offers classic cocktails and a wine list that highlights some good Italian varieties to enhance your meal.
BR Prime
For fine dining and a traditional steakhouse, BR Prime is the place to be. While BR Prime is known for its dry-aged beef and steak options, the menu also features seasonal seafood, 5 salad options, and loads of delicious sides to round out your meal.
BR Prime is Beau Rivage’s most expensive and elegant dining option, so plan accordingly.
Jia
Jia is the Beau Rivage’s third major restaurant, also located just off the casino floor alongside Stalla and BR Prime. Jia features a Pan-Asian menu as well as a Teppanyaki experience.
The menu at Jia is large with noodle, sushi, and wok specialties depending on what you’re craving.
In addition to these three primary restaurants, the Beau Rivage also features a variety of other dining options. Click here to discover more…
Central Location
One of the biggest appeals of the Beau Rivage Resort & Casino is its central location, allowing for easy walking to the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino next door as well as additional downtown Biloxi restaurants.
Art enthusiasts can enjoy a visit to the Ohr-O’Keefe Museum located only a little over a mile away.
Biloxi is also known for its world-class offshore sport fishing and the area offers several charter companies that you can book for an experience. Click here to see the most up-to-date fishing charter options in Biloxi.
Mary Mahoney’s Old French House Restaurant
If you get tired of dining in the casino and are craving a taste of local cuisine, do yourself a favor and take a 5-minute walk across the street to Mary Mahoney’s Old French House. The restaurant is open Monday – Saturday (closed Sundays), and you can enjoy either lunch or dinner here.
The Old French House was originally built in 1737 by a French colonist and remained a residence until 1962 when Mary Mahoney bought it and turned it into a restaurant.
Fresh seafood preparations are the main focus at Mary Mahoney’s, but you can also order a chicken or steak entree.
The prices reflect the fine dining status of the restaurant, but if you’re just looking to sample an appetizer or indulge in dessert and a drink, you can find a space in the cozy bar and lounge adjacent to the main dining room.
Dinner reservations are recommended due to the restaurant’s popularity.
White Pillars
Located a mere 5-minute drive away from the Beau Rivage Resort & Casino is another Biloxi favorite housed in a historic home built in 1905.
White Pillars Biloxi is a casually refined restaurant with a central focus on farm-to-table fare sourced from Mississippi farmers, fishers, and artisans. The menu changes with the seasons, so every experience here is a little different from the one before.
White Pillars is only open for dinner, so reservations are definitely recommended. The White Pillars Bar Lounge offers a happy hour from 4:30 – 7:30.
Day Trips from the Beau Rivage
Depending on how much time you have to spend during your stay at The Beau Rivage Resort & Casino, you might want to look into taking a sightseeing day trip to one of these nearby iconic cities.
New Orleans
Drive Time: 1 hour & 20 minutes.
There’s never a bad time to visit New Orleans (except in the humidity-drenching heat of summer), but my suggestion is to drive there on a Saturday or Sunday morning for a Jazz Brunch reservation followed by walking and shopping in the French Quarter district.
Most of the Jazz Brunches begin around 11:00 a.m. and continue until 3:00 p.m., giving you plenty of time to get there.
There are a lot of options to choose from, but my top 5 New Orleans Jazz Brunch votes include:
1. Brennan’s
3. Arnaud’s
4. Palace Cafe by Dickie Brennan
New Orleans is packed with great Jazz Brunch options, but be sure to reserve ahead because the tables fill up quickly.
Mobile
Drive Time: 1 hour
Mobile is another charming coastal city with French & Creole influences. It’s a great place to explore and eat lunch.
Saturdays are typically a vibrant day to visit due to local pop-up markets, particularly at Cathedral Square in front of the impressive Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.

Fairhope
Drive Time: 1 hour & 20 minutes
Around the same driving distance as New Orleans, Fairhope is a charming eastern shore town to explore with plenty of stores and restaurants worth visiting.
If you’re looking for a more quiet town to explore with an emphasis on local art, books, and antiques, then you’ll love a day trip to Fairhope.
