Description
This crowd-pleasing no-boil crockpot Baked Ziti recipe is perfect for when you’re short on time but don’t want to sacrifice flavor.
Ingredients

2 (25 -28 ounce) jars of pasta sauce
15 oz tomato sauce
1 pound uncooked penne pasta
15 oz ricotta cheese
2 eggs
1/3 cup freshly chopped basil (or half in dry chopped basil)
2 cups of freshly grated parmesan cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Spray the inside of a 6 qt slow cooker with Olive oil spray. Grate the Parmesan cheese and set aside.
- Combine ricotta, half the Parmesan, the eggs, and basil in the crockpot, and stir well.
- Add both jars of pasta sauce and the tomato sauce and stir in the crockpot.
- Add penne and stir.
- Sprinkle the remaining parmesan cheese on top (don’t stir it in).
- Cover the crockpot and cook on high for 2 1/2 hours
- During the last 30 minutes, add the mozzarella cheese to the top and allow to melt.
- Serve and top with additional parmesan cheese or red pepper flakes if you like a little spice.
